Event history and success
The Student World Fairs were brought to life in 2010 coinciding with the Brown Report and its increase in tuition fees for UK universities. Now the international Higher Education market is much more compatible as students seek cheaper options or more value for their money. The first fair in fall 2010 bringing 56 international students in touch with an incredible 964 attendees was a huge success on its first try. Since then we have expanded to a second event in the north since fall 2012 and an additional Road Show.
Testimonials from exhibitors
65% of our exhibitors said that compared to other fairs they have attended around the world The Student World was better than average.
“The staff are amazing! I attend a lot of fairs, and my experience with The Student World is always stellar. They really pay attention to details and making the experience excellent for everyone involved.
Over 75% of the students were exactly at the level in their studies (1st or 2nd year of A levels), and this is perfect timing for an undergraduate college such as us, Berkeley College.”
Berkley College, USA
“Very well with the pre-communication with organizers, nice set-up at the fair. Very nice touch with name badges, and lunch boxes, plus coffee station! ;) Students were informed, booklets were well done, and overall there was a lot of attention put into what caters the students and what caters the Universities.”
Jacobs University Bremen, Germany
“I liked the quality of the attendees (visitors), the communication and assistance with the organisers, the services, etc. Although many other exhibitions try to do the same, I did not expect to have lunch or beverages during the day (limitless) and some other things.”
Kaunas University of Technology, USA
“Many students and parents seemed to have done quite some homework beforehand. Many came with a list of exhibitors they definitely wanted to visit.
I was surprised how informed the attendees were beforehand. They posed very intelligent questions and knew which information they needed to gain. My compliments!”
HAN University of Applies Sciences, Arnhem-Nijmegen, The Netherlands
“The Road Show was a great opportunity for us to learn about the market. The Student World Team is very organized and efficient and we did not have to worry about any logistics and just went with the flow of the program.”
